Chakouian had an impressive season across all throwing events with four school records and three freshman records falling. Not to mention, Tayla Greene qualified for the NCAA Championships in the hammer throw, being named a Honorable Mention All-American. Greene was accompanied by three other Knights at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Freshman Jhane' Carter made an immediate impact for the Black & Gold, breaking the school and freshman indoor and outdoor shot put records along with the freshman weight throw mark. Carter earned all-conference honors along with Chelsea Gobourne, who broke the Kngihts' hammer throw record. Gobourne may hold the school record, but Kalen Hambrick and Tayla Greene also topped the old UCF record in the hammer in 2016.
In 2015, Chakouian coached Kalen Hambrick to another stellar season, medaling in both the weight throw during indoor and the hammer throw during outdoor at the American Athletic Conference Championships. Hambrick won the hammer three times during the outdoor season and qualified for the NCAA East Prelims. Recording a personal best at the regional meet, Hambrick missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships by two spots with her 14th place finish. Chakouian also helped lead freshman Jenna Lucas to a UCF freshman and school record in the javelin.
2014 was a successful year for Chakouian's field event student-athletes, beginning with Destinee Romain (weight throw), Jen Clayton (long jump) and Allison Lampert (high jump) all earning all-conference honors at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
The outdoor campaign was a record-setting one for Chakouian's athletes, as Paige Byrnes set a UCF outdoor freshman record in the pole vault and Siana Campbell became the school and freshman record holder in the javelin. Romain, Clayton and Hambrick all qualified for the NCAA East Prelims, while Romain garnered all-conference accolades in the hammer. Clayton went on to the NCAA Championships in the long jump, earning Second Team All-American honors for her performance.
In 2013, Chakouian helped guide the team to its fourth-straight outdoor Conference USA championship -- a feat unmatched by any women's program in conference history. UCF also thrived at the NCAA Championships with two top-5 finishes, picking up the first top-5 finish at the outdoor championships by a non-BCS program since 2000.
His throwers excelled at the C-USA Outdoor Championships as Precious Ogunleye and Hambrick became the first throwing duo in program history to medal in the same event (hammer throw) at a C-USA Championship meet. They went on to represent the Knights at the NCAA East Prelims, becoming the first throwers to qualify for the hammer in seven years.
In 2012, Chakouian helped lead the Knights to their fourth Conference USA Championship. Under his guidance, Ogunleye rewrote the UCF record book, claiming the weight throw, indoor and outdoor shot put and hammer throw freshman records. She capped the outdoor season with all-conference honors and was the first freshman in five years to represent UCF in the throws at the NCAA East Prelims.
In 2011, Chakouian helped UCF sweep the indoor and outdoor track and field championship titles one year removed from winning its first ever C-USA Championship in outdoor track. Satrina Oliveira earned all-conference laurels in the discus at the outdoor championships with a personal-best performance at the meet. In that same season, Erica Weiss broke the school record for indoor pole vault at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational.
At the 2010 championships, Chakouian witnessed the Knights enter the final day of competition sixth before mounting a comeback that would land them at the top of the podium on their home track as the 2010 C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Champions.
Under Chakouian, LaKendra Thames set four school records in 2010. Thames set new UCF records in the indoor shot and weight, while also setting marks in outdoor shot and discus. Her throws in those events were also All-Conference USA performances.
