Never ranked: Cross Country, Rowing

  • Men's soccer was the first program in UCF's history to achieve a No. 1 ranking in a weekly poll, earning the top spot in the Oct. 24 release of the United Soccer Coaches Poll during the 2023 season. The Knights earned 199 points and seven first place votes in their debut at No. 1, followed by a unanimous eight first place votes the following week in the Oct. 31 poll, earning the maximum 200 voter points.

  • Eight teams cracked into the top 25 in UCF's first season in the Big 12 Conference. Women's soccer was the first of the Knights' programs to be ranked in the new era, checking in at No. 24 on Aug. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll before climbing as high as No. 19 during the campaign. Men's soccer, although officially a part of the Sun Belt Conference, was the next team to be ranked, checking in at No. 14 on 27 days after women's soccer and eventually climbing to No. 1 for two consecutive weeks. Women's golf jumped in the polls at No. 21 on Sep. 3 before rising to No. 11 at one point, followed by volleyball checking in at No. 24 on Oct. 16. Women's tennis was the first ranked team of UCF's spring sports, jumping to No. 23 on Jan. 24. Track and field was next to leap into the top 25, rising to No. 9 after beginning the season at No. 10 on Mar. 25. Baseball mashed its way into the rankings on Apr. 1 at No. 20 via Perfect Game's poll before climbing to No. 16 in the NCBWA's poll a week later. Men's tennis was the eighth and final team of UCF's inaugural Big 12 campaign to achieve top 25 status, registering at No. 24 on Apr. 2.
