Former Knight and Orlando native, Drico Johnson returned to UCF in the 2025 season as a Defensive Analyst. Johnson played for UCF from 2012 through 2016, moving from receiver to defensive back closing his career at safety. As a senior in 2016 Jonhson started every game at safety and earned conference honorable mention. He was also recognized nationally with a weekly defensive award following UCF’s win over Tulane.
Before rejoining UCF, Johnson worked in the Orlando high school ranks and the local player development scene. He taught at West Oaks Academy and contributed to community training and 7-on-7 programs in Central Florida.
