UCF Football has announced the addition of Trent Mossbrucker as the program’s new General Manager of Football Player Personnel, Acquisitions and Roster Management. Mossbrucker brings more than a decade of extensive experience in player evaluation, recruiting, and program administration at both the collegiate Power Five and FCS levels.
Prior to his return to UCF, Mossbrucker served as the recruiting coordinator at the University of Louisville from 2023-24, where he led the recruiting staff in talent evaluation and played a major role in recruiting communications for the Cardinals’ head coach and assistants. Mossbrucker also spent the 2022 season with Jeff Brohm’s staff at Purdue University as the assistant director of recruiting, handling all aspects of the Boilermakers’ recruiting strategy and assisting with team travel.
Mossbrucker’s resume also includes four seasons at Nebraska as director of football and recruiting administration, where he played a key role in day-to-day football operations and guided Huskers recruiting efforts to a top-20 national class in 2019.
His earlier experience features tenures as assistant director of football operations here at UCF (2017), chief of staff at Yale (2015-16), and as a graduate assistant working with defenses at both the University of Indianapolis (2014) and St. Lawrence University (2013).
A former standout place-kicker at Iowa (2008-12), Mossbrucker set the school’s freshman scoring record and led the Big Ten in field goal percentage his first season, while appearing in four bowl games with the Hawkeyes. He graduated in 2012 with degrees in history and communication studies.
