ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – With UCF Football just more than two weeks away from the beginning of fall camp, Knights head coach Scott Frost has announced three title changes and three additions to his staff.
Jovan Dewitt, who served as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach last season, will add the title of Associate Head Coach.
"Jovan is a really talented coach," Frost said. "He brings a lot to the table. He coordinates our special teams, coaches our linebackers. He was an assistant head coach at Army. He helps me out in a lot of other ways. We're going to keep him in the same role and we've promoted him to an associate head coach position. I can give him things and let him take things off my plate."
Gerrod Lambrecht, who held the title of Director of Operations last season, will keep that role and add the title of Chief of Staff.
"Gerrod is one of the most valuable people we have in this building," Frost said. "He does a lot of things for me, helps me get my job done. He runs things when I'm not here and reports everything I need to know to me. He's been elevated to a position that helps him with a seat at the table with the administration. I'm grateful to have him around."
With Lambrecht's added responsibilities, Frost added Trent Mossbrucker to the staff as Assistant Director of Football Operations.
Mike Cassano, who previously served as Director of High School Relations, will add the title of Quality Control Administrator-Offense.
Frost also added Horace Raymond as Director of Player Development and Frank Verducci as an offensive analyst. Raymond has served in similar capacities at both Oregon and Arizona State. Verducci spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator at UConn. He also has collegiate coaching experience with Northern Iowa, Florida, Notre Dame, Iowa, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Maryland and Colorado State. Verducci has coached at the professional level with the Montreal Alouettes, St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals.
