JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team won a trio of events at the UNF Osprey Invitational on Friday at Hodges Stadium.
 
Running a personal-best time of 55.94, Venida Fagan won the 400-meter dash. She posted the second-fastest mark by a Knight in the event this season.
 
In the high jump, Natosha Jordan took home the title after clearing 5-8 on her first attempt. She won her second high jump title of the outdoor season, taking the top honors in the outdoor opener on March 17.
 
A pair of Knights finished one-two in the hammer throw. Gabby Durant won the event with a distance of 188-10, while Jhane' Carter finished an inch behind her to take second at 188-9.
 
Overall, UCF posted 27 top-10 finishes and saw 14 personal records set during the meet.
 
In the discus, Courtney Morgan improved her mark with a distance of 142-11 to finish second. Shanell Atkins joined her in the top five, taking fourth overall with a personal best mark of 137-4.
 
The 4x100 relay squad of Sarah Wollaston, Shaniya Williams, Ciara Holback and Loren Gallmon posted their fastest time as a group and the second-fastest UCF 4x1 mark this season. The relay squad crossed the line in 45.39.
 
In the 100-meter dash, Shaniya Williams held the slight edge to finish third overall in 11.70 (11.693). Ciara Holback was just behind her, posting a PR performance of 11.70 (11.700) to take fourth. Loren Gallmon dropped her time in the event to finish ninth in 11.89.
 
Both of UCF's competitors in the 1500-meter invite posted personal best times. Victoria Jung finished fifth with a time of 4:38.39, while Marissa Codispodi took seventh in 4:38.98.
 
Jessica Dolan made the most of her collegiate debut in the open 1500-meter run, finishing third with a time of 4:46.06. Laura Korsmit posted a season-best mark of 4:53.67 to finish eighth.
 
In the 200-meter dash, Ciara Holback posted her fastest collegiate time of 24.23 to finish fifth overall. A pair of UCF pole vaulters finished in the top 10. Madison Bryan cleared a personal-best 11-7.75/3.55m to match Anna Chamness for top 10 finishes.
 
The Knights return to action at the 2018 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships May 11-13 in Cincinnati.
