Top Five Photos of 2011 Season: No. 3
Soccer season is fast approaching. The UCF women's soccer team is six days away from its first scheduled training session of the fall season. Last season, the Knights had one of their best years in school history by advancing to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1987. Over the next week, we'll take a look back at some of the best photos captured throughout the season as we anticipate the start of a promising new year.

No. 3: UCF at the NCAA Tournament Second Round and Sweet 16
UCF traveled to Gainesville on Nov. 18 and came out of the weekend having achieved one of the most memorable feats in program history: a berth to the Elite Eight. First, the Knights earned their second-ever win over the Gators in the NCAA Tournament, knocking off the second-seeded Gators in a 3-2 decision to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 25 years. UCF then met No. 3 North Carolina and upended the Tar Heels for the first time in postseason play. The Knights outlasted UNC in penalty kicks to punch their ticket to the Elite Eight.
