ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF Football FanFest has finally arrived Saturday. The Knights will hold their final open team practice at 2:30 p.m. before FanFest begins at 5 p.m. inside Bright House Networks Stadium.

News



-During practice, fans are asked to not take notes, pictures or video.



-If inclement weather is in the area, FanFest will be moved inside Nicholson Fieldhouse.



-On Saturday, those wearing gold shirts will be allowed to participate in the team photo at approximately 5 p.m. Head to Gate 17 at the Southwest corner of the stadium to be in this year's photo, which will be made available on UCFPhotos.com.



-There also will be an opportunity to sign up at the open practice and at the start of FanFest for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the home opener against FIU Sept. 15 at 4 p.m.




-All events are FREE to the public, as well as FREE parking in Bright House Networks Stadium lots E6 and E7, which are the grass lots on the East side of the facility.




-Along with Barnes & Noble selling merchandise, posters and schedule cards also will be available during the day, and the UCF Spirit Program with Knightro will be on hand as well.




-During Friday's practice, which was the final night session of the preseason, UCF had a light workout without shoulder pads and ended the night about an hour early.




-Defensive end Cam Henderson continued to beat the offensive line and get to the UCF quarterbacks Friday, however quarterback Blake Bortles' arm was on display as he delivered several accurate passes throughout the night.




-On consecutive 7v7 plays near the goal line, wideout Breshad Perriman made a leaping grab on a pass from Tyler Gabbert in the endzone, and Quincy McDuffie hauled in a touchdown pass by making a diving catch and dragging one foot in bounds.


-After practice, the entire team sang "Happy Birthday" to head coach George O'Leary.

Stat of the Day



-Since the program's inception in 1979, UCF has shut out an opponent 19 times, including twice in 2011 (Charleston Southern, Memphis).

What to Look For



-Following Saturday, practices will be closed for the rest of the season.



-The fall semester at UCF kicks off on Monday.
