ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com)- UCF's win over East Carolina last Thursday marked the third straight season the Knights started a year at 3-2.

Quincy McDuffie's 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown tied Todd Cleveland for the most kickoff returns for a score with four. McDuffie would hold the mark alone if not for that odd flag that appeared in the 2010 Liberty Bowl where McDuffie started the game with an apparent return for a score, only to be called back for a penalty many still wonder about.

Over the last three games, opponents have converted only 8-of-38 third down conversions against the UCF defense. That's a 21% success rate.

UCF will try to snap a four-game losing streak against Southern Miss this Saturday night at Bright House Networks Stadium. The Knights lone win in the series game on the road in 2007 with a 34-17 victory.
