UCF's win over Marshall was its 8th straight in what likely is the final game between the two schools. UCF will finish its run in Conference USA with a perfect record against two teams. The Knights never lost to Memphis or Marshall in league play. The series with Memphis will continue as both teams head to the Big East. However, UCF and Memphis may not play in the same division. Big East officials have not settled on division makeup.

UCF's 278 yards rushing against Marshall marked the sixth time in the last seven games that UCF ran for more than 213 yards in the game.

Quincy McDuffie is one of just 17 players in college football history to have two kick returns for touchdowns in a single game.  McDuffie is averaging 40.55 yards a kick return, second in the nation.

They rarely get the attention they deserve, UCF's offensive line was dominant in Huntington. No group enjoyed UCF's  15-play 99-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter. Brynn Harvey finished the drive with a 21-yard touchdown run. The drive totaled 10:10 and the line loved every minute of it.

SMU comes to Orlando this Saturday playing their best football. The Mustangs have won two in a row and stand 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference. SMU has scored 116 points the last two weeks in wins over Houston and Memphis.

Texas transfer Garrett Gilbert quarterbacks the Mustangs and all-conference running back Zack Line is having another solid season after 17 rushing touchdowns last season.

This week's fun fact about UCF's opponent highlights famous alums. Academy Award winner Kathy Bates earned her degree at SMU. The creator of Barney, Sheryl Leach and wrestler "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan also are proud graduates of SMU.

Radio coverage, on the UCF/IMG Radio Network, for UCF and SMU will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Kickoff from Bright House Networks Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
