ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - When junior infielder Shane Brown (Winter Park, Fla.) was selected in the 47th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft Thursday, it marked the 70th draft pick in program history. In total, three Knights were selected in 2009.

Junior pitcher Austin Hudson (Orlando, Fla.) was picked in the 27th round by Seattle. Senior outfielder Chadd Hartman (Windermere, Fla.) was tabbed by San Diego in the 43rd round. The New York Yankees picked Brown.
