Entering his eleventh year at UCF in 2020, Ed Woodley serves as an associate athletic trainer with the Knights football program. Woodley, a state licensed and board-certified athletic trainer, is also certified as a master in full body, nerve, and complex Active Release Technique (ART). In addition to his athletic training credentials, Woodley is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist.
In 2019, Woodley was awarded the “Backbone Award” by the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida. This award is issued to an assistant or associate athletic trainer that goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide for their program and student-athletes.
Prior to joining the Knights in 2009, Woodley previously served as a seasonal athletic trainer with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also served as a graduate assistant at The University of Southern Mississippi, working with the football, track, and softball programs from 2006-2008 while earning his master’s degree in exercise science.
Woodley is a 2004 graduate of Colorado State University – Pueblo earning his bachelor's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training. A native of Pueblo, Colorado, Woodley enjoys playing basketball, golfing, watching football, and traveling.
