Rich Worner joined the UCF staff in January 2016. He currently serves as Director of Equipment Operations. The UCF equipment staff oversees all the equipment needs for UCF's 16 varsity athletics programs and approximately 500 student-athletes.
Prior to his tenure at UCF, Worner was the head equipment manager at Marshall University. Worner joined the Marshall Athletics staff in March 2002.
The 1996 West Virginia State graduate served as an assistant on the equipment (1988-92) and facilities (1993-95) staffs during his undergraduate years at Marshall.
Worner served as the head equipment manager at West Virginia State in 1995-96, an assistant equipment manager at Virginia from 1996-99 and the head equipment manager at Tulane from 1999-2002.
He is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
He and his wife Tonya have two daughters, Kiersten Faith and Sadie Katherine.
