Darion Monroe joined the UCF staff as a defensive graduate assistant prior to the start of the 2020 season.
He came to Orlando following a stint as a defensive grad assistant working with safeties at Troy University. Prior to that he was an assistant coach and passing game coordinator at Millsaps University in Jackson, Mississippi.
Monroe played collegiately at Tulane from 2012-15 as a safety. He earned honorable mention all-conference and was named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2012. He was the AAC Defensive Player of the Week in 2014 and a member of Tulane's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Monore earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane in 2016.
