Jack Cooper joined the UCF coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant in 2016.
A native of Kensington, Conn., Cooper was a defensive assistant at Yale in 2015, while he worked with the defensive backs and special teams at Southern Connecticut State in 2014. That season, he also had the role of recruiting coordinator. He had his first coaching gig at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island in 2013 as its cornerbacks coach.
A linebacker from 2008-12 and four-year letterman for Southern Connecticut State, Cooper was team captain in 2012. As a senior, he earned a spot on the all-conference first team.
Cooper graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science-physical education.He holds a master's degree in sports management from Southern Connecticut State, which he received in May 2016.
