• A four-star recruit by ESPN, which graded him at an 80, and received three stars from Rivals
• Ranked as the No. 35 defensive end in the nation by ESPN, and the No. 40 weakside defensive end by Rivals
• Rated at 85 by 247Sports.com
• Received class 7A all-state second-team honors in 2012
• Finished senior season with 50 tackles, 17 sacks, two blocked punts, five forced fumbles and four recoveries
• As a junior, had 48 tackles, 16 sacks, six forced fumbles and five blocks to go along with five touchdowns scored en route to first-team all-conference honors
• Chose UCF over offers and interest from Alabama, Cincinnati, Connecticut, FIU, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Rutgers, South Alabama, USF, Vanderbilt and West Virginia
