REDSHIRT SENIOR (2016)
• Appeared in all 13 games, starting 12 at linebacker
• Third on the team with 82 total tackles
• Also finished with 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three pass break-ups, six quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles
• Maryland 9/17: Totaled 10 tackles, 1.5 for loss and one sack
• Temple 10/15: Had seven tackles, including one for a loss
• Tulane 11/5: Recorded 11 tackles and one tackle for loss
• USF 11/26: Had eight tackles and forced a fumble
• Arkansas State in Cure Bowl 12/17: Totaled career high 14 tackles, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2015)
• Started four games at outside linebacker and played in nine games overall
• Completed the year with 25 tackles and two tackles for a loss of 10 yards
• Stanford 9/12: Collected five tackles
• Temple 10/17: Posted a tackle for loss
• Houston 10/24: Had three tackles with half a tackle for a loss of two yards
• Cincinnati 10/31: Hauled in three tackles
• Tulsa 11/7: Had a season-high seven tackles with half a tackle for loss
• East Carolina 11/19: Finished with four tackles
JUNIOR (2014)
• Selected as a defensive scout team player of the week for the UConn game
PRIOR TO UCF
• Played the 2012-13 seasons at Virginia
• Was one of nine true freshman at Virginia to see time in the 2012 campaign, playing in 12 games mostly on special teams
• Also appeared in 12 games in 2013, getting his first start against BYU
HIGH SCHOOL
• Saw time at quarterback and safety for coach Jeff Schaum at Victory Christian Academy
• As a senior, rushed for 1,241 yards while also passing for 607 yards, racking up a combined 20 touchdowns
• On defense that year, collected 28 tackles with four interceptions and one forced fumble
• Helped his school reach the FHSAA 2A state semifinals
• Earned Associated Press All-State Second Team status
• Selected as PolkPrep.com's Co-Offensive Player of the Year
• In his career, passed for close to 1,700 yards and 23 touchdowns, and rushed for approximately 1,500 yards and 18 scores
• Had a 21-2 career record as the starting quarterback
• Attended Lake Region High School as a freshman and Haines City High School as a sophomore
• Was a three-star recruit according to Rivals, which also had him among the top 50 linebackers in the country
• Chose Virginia over Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Ole Miss, Temple, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin
