-Selected as the Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the SMU game and the UTEP contest
HIGH SCHOOL
-Coached by Greg Seibert at Pensacola Catholic, which also produced former UCF offensive lineman and Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl selection Josh Sitton
-Was a three-year starter and earned four letters
-Named to the 2011 Florida Class 3A Defense First Team
-Listed at No. 16 on the Orlando Sentinel's 2012 Florida Panhandle Super60
-Also named to the Pensacola News Journal All-Area Football Team
-As a junior (2010), had 85 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 12 sacks
-Played mostly at strongside defensive end
-In 2010, helped lead team to its second straight district title as well as the Class 2B state semifinals, narrowly falling to eventual state champion Trinity Catholic
-In his first year starting as a sophomore, team advanced to the state semifinals
-Also lettered three years in basketball and two years in baseball
-Received offers from Memphis, Florida Atlantic and Western Michigan, and interest from Kentucky, Mississippi, USF, Texas Tech and Middle Tennessee State
