-Started four games as a defensive end, and appeared in 13 games overall
-Collected 46 tackles with 5.0 tackles for loss and a pair of solo sacks
-Blocked a kick and had one fumble recovery
-At Akron 8/30: Recorded two tackle assists and recovered one fumble
-At Ohio State 9/8: Registered one assisted tackle
-FIU 9/15: Made two stops including one TFL
-Missouri 9/29: Recorded three solo tackles including 1.0 TFL, 1.0 sack, had 1.0 quarterback hurry
-ECU 10/4: Had three tackles (two solo) and 1.0 quarterback hurry
-Southern Miss 10/13: Made one solo tackle with 1.0 QB hurry
-At Memphis 10/20: Finished with two tackles (one solo)
-At Marshall 10/27: Recorded five total tackles and 1.0 TFL
-SMU 11/3: Registered one assisted tackle
-At UTEP 11/10: Piled on seven tackles (five solo)
-At Tulsa 11/17: Blocked a field goal with 3:50 left in the game, collected eight tackles (three solo) and 1.0 TFL
-UAB 11/24: Added two tackles (one solo), a sack and a QB hurry
-At C-USA Championship 12/1: Collected nine tackles vs. Tulsa
JUNIOR SEASON (2011):
-Appeared in all 12 games and recorded 15 tackles (eight solo) with one tackle for loss
-Charleston Southern 9/3: Recorded one tackle (one solo) with one TFL and one QBH
-At BYU 9/23: Had two tackles (two solo)
-Marshall 10/8: Collected two tackles (one solo)
-Memphis 10/29: Recorded three tackles (two solo)
-Tulsa 11/3: Amassed four tackles with two quarterback hurries
PRIOR TO UCF:
-Graduated from Navarro College
-Coached by Nick Bobeck at Navarro
-Rated with three stars from Rivals and Scout websites
-Chose UCF over scholarship offers from Iowa State, Baylor, USF, Arizona, Texas Tech, UAB, Mississippi State and Louisiana Tech
HIGH SCHOOL:
-Competed for coach Curtis Coleman at Shades Valley in Irondale, a suburb of Birmingham
-A four-star prospect, originally signed with Auburn out of Shades Valley and redshirted his lone season with the Tigers
-Out of high school, had 100 tackles, including 10 sacks as a senior
-Also recorded 60 tackles and six sacks as a junior, while being named the Defensive Player of the Year for basketball
-Named to 2008 all-southeast region team by PrepStar
-Was ranked the 17th best player in Alabama by SuperPrep as a senior and the No. 9 defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com
-A two-sport standout for Shades Valley, also was a dominant post player for the basketball team
-Earned four letters in both football and basketball
