TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON (2008): Averaged 10-plus all-purpose yards per game ... Played in his first collegiate contest as a Knight vs. South Carolina State (Aug. 30) with two rushes for seven yards ... Rushed for five yards and caught his first-career reception vs. Boston College (Sept. 20) ... Posted an impressive 41-yard rushing performance vs. UTEP (Sept. 27) including a season-long 37-yard scamper ... Ran for 15 yards vs. Tulsa (Oct. 26) ... Received 10 rushing carries vs. Memphis (Nov. 22).

PERSONAL: Davis is the son of Adrian and Donna Davis ... Has two older brothers currently playing Division I football, including one in Conference USA ... Phillip Davis will be entering his sophomore season as a defensive back at Tulane, while the oldest of the Davis brothers, Jason, will be a senior running back at Georgia Tech this fall.
