CJ Bates joined the UCF Athletics Association as assistant director of equipment operations in August 2022.
Bates previously worked as the head equipment manager for East Tennessee State University, overseeing 17 sports teams. He also completed an internship with the New York Jets in 2019.
As a student at Florida State University, Bates served as a student manager for the football team for four years.
Bates earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental science from FSU in 2018.
