The Knights Arrive in the Mountain State
The Knights (5-2, 3-0) are on the road for the second consecutive week and look to stay undefeated when they take on the Marshall Thundering Herd (3-4, 2-1) Saturday night at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The contest will be a matchup of the top offense and the top defense in Conference USA. UCF is first in total defense (352.9 yards per game) and scoring defense (22 points per game). On the flip side, Marshall owns C-USA's top spot for total offense (568.4 yards per game) and scoring offense (43.1 points per game).
UCF sophomore quarterback Blake Bortles continues to prove he's one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the conference. On the season, he's completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,598 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Oviedo native hasn't thrown an interception in the last four games and is ranked third in the conference with a passing efficiency rating of 141.9.
In the running game, senior Latavius Murray ran for a season high 192 yards and two touchdowns against Memphis. On the season, the New York native is averaging 95.5 rushing yards per game with five touchdowns. Sophomore Storm Johnson continues to lead the team in rushing with 469 yards and four touchdowns.
On defense, senior Kemal Ishmael and sophomore Terrence Plummer are two of the top tacklers in the conference. Ishmael is ranked ninth in the conference with 59 tackles and Plummer is tied for tenth with 58 tackles. Last week against Memphis, Ishmael recorded double-digit tackles for the second time on the season with ten. The first time he recorded double-digit tackles was against Ohio State.
All-time in Huntington the Knights are 3-2. The last time UCF played Marshall in Huntington was in 2010. The Knights won the lightning-delayed contest 35-14.

Saturday's forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain with the projected high at 54 degrees and the projected low at 42 degrees.
