After spending the summer in Orlando working out with several current Knights, former UCF star Josh Peppers is back in Japan, where he is playing for Rizing Fukuoka. Early in the season, he is averaging 14.5 points per game.

Since concluding his time at UCF in 2007, the small forward has played professionally each season in Japan. A year ago, he competed for the Shiga Lakestars and averaged 14.8 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor.

A Memphis native, Peppers starred for the Knights from 2003-07. As a senior, he averaged 14.3 points and was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team. Peppers, who played on a pair of NCAA Tournament squads, finished his career with 1,376 points and is eighth on UCF's all-time scoring register.
