After playing the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, the Knightsare now focused on starting a new chapter of the season - conference play.

UCF ended the non-conference portion of its schedule with a2-2 record and will face the East Carolina Pirates in its first Conference USAgame of the season on Thursday night at Bright House Networks Stadium.

"We can always take positives [from] plays and positivethings out of each game," sophomore running back Storm Johnson said in hispost-game interview. "Our main focus is getting better as a team and movingforward."

Senior linebacker Ray Shipman said the team will watch film on ECU Saturday nightand the coaches will grade the team's performance against Missouri. The wholeteam is now focused on getting a win against the Pirates.

"We have to move forward now because we have a short week,"senior defensive back Kemal Ishmael said. "After this day, the game is over. We're just getting ready for ECU now."

The Pirates have already played two Conference USA opponentsthis season and faced the likes for North Carolina and South Carolina innon-conference play. Both ECU  and UCF have played challenging non-conferenceschedules and both hope they helped prepare them for C-USA play.

UCF doesn't plan to loss its focus on ECU after its loss toMissouri.

"We're going to get in, watch film and at the end of theday, forget about it," Johnson said.
