ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Another night practice is on tap for Wednesday, which is slated for 6:45-8:45 p.m. However if fans plan on attending, it may get underway earlier than the scheduled time.

News

-The first week of the preseason wrapped up Tuesday on the outdoor practice fields.

-Defense stole the show during practice No. 7. DB Clayton Geathers recorded an interception by stepping in front of tight end Chris Martin on a Blake Bortles pass. Meanwhile, LB Willie Mitchell picked off a pass from Tyler Gabbert, and on a deep ball from Rob Calabrese to Jeff Godfrey, DB Jeremy Davis tipped it in the air before pulling in the interception while falling down.

-Head coach George O'Leary following Tuesday's practice: "They are all getting opportunities to see what they can do...Last night offense had their day and today defense had their day. It goes like that, back and forth, but ultimately both sides are trying to get better. That's the key."
