Having already been selected to the All-Conference USA Preseason Team, senior forward Tishia Jewell and junior defender Marissa Diggs were singled out once again, this time as College Sports Madness 2012 Preseason All-Americans. Jewell was named to the third team and Diggs was selected as a fourth-team member. 

It's only Tuesday and it's already been quite a week for Jewell, who was named to the Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy Watch List on Monday. Jewell is among 38 women around the country to be considered for the highest individual award in intercollegiate soccer. 

The team was also recognized recently by TopDrawerSoccer.com in its Tournament 64 National Ranking at No. 32. The list is an effort to rank the top women's collegiate programs and also project the post-season NCAA tournament field. The ranking is updated every Monday morning throughout the season. 

The team will travel to Tampa for its season opener on Friday at USF at 7:30 p.m. UCF holds its home opener on Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. against Florida State.  Season tickets are available for UCF's 11 home games, beginning at $30.
