SARASOTA – The UCF rowing team picked up four victories at Nathan Benderson Park on Friday evening.
The Second Varsity Four, consisting of Kenzie Harrod, Connery Cassidy, Lindsey Buckreis, Aryann Johnson and Michaela Gundrum, opened racing with a victory, crossing the line in 8:44.97.
The Knights continued their winning ways with a victory in the Third Varsity Eight race. The squad, consisting of Sofia Soria, Chiara Ciullo, Martyna Wasilewska, Rachel Dunford, Jillian Lawrenson, Emily Eastwood, Aenea Keren, Kayla Evers and Maura Shiner, crossed the line in 7:30.97.
The Varsity Four, consisting of Lauren Roman, Lara Maule, Seyene Oord, Tatum Cox and Georgia Coyne picked up the third victory of the day, crossing the line in 8:08.09.
The Second Varsity Eight finished fourth overall. The squad, consisting of Kennedy Keith, Abbie Pritchard, Luci Derrick, Lauryn Bench, Maria Yim, Annberlee Hothem, Tegan Fookes, Emily Klysen and Emma Leavens, crossed the line in 7:35.96.
The Varsity Eight rounded out the day with a victory. The squad, consisting of Elena Esteban, Leslie Lajoie, Amy Van Ryn, Julie Poulsen, Rusne Dziugyte, Charlotte Wiley, Mia Cleary, Emily Puia and Martina Pischedda, crossed the line in 7:06.69.
The Knights return to action in Sarasota on Saturday morning.
