  • UCF captains: Senior Offensive Lineman Wyatt Miller, Senior Linebacker Pat Jasinski, Senior Defensive Lineman Titus Davis, Junior Quarterback McKenzie Milton, Senior Running Back Taj McGowan, Junior Wide Receiver Jacob Harris
  • Coin Toss: LSU won the toss and elected to receive; UCF chose to defend the north end zone.

 

Team

  • UCF now has a streak of 26 games of scoring 30 points or more, which is the longest streak by any team in the AP Poll era (81 years)
  • UCF’s 25-game win streak was snapped, a streak that led the nation and was a program and conference record
  • It was tied for the 22nd longest streak in college football history
  • UCF’s 12-1 record matches the second best record in program history (2013)
  • It was the Knights’ second loss ever and are now 31-2 all-time while ranked in the Top 25, having won 31 straight games prior to Tuesday’s loss
  • The loss snapped UCF’s streak of five straight wins over ranked opponents

 

Offense

  • Greg McCrae scored his 10th rushing touchdown of the season, the seventh straight game he’s found the end zone
  • McCrae led the Knights on the ground with 81 yards rushing
  • With 1,182 rushing yards on the season, McCrae’s ranks as the fourth best single-season rushing mark in UCF history
  • Darriel Mack Jr. threw his third touchdown of the season, finding Gabriel Davis for a score in the second quarter
  • It marked the seventh touchdown of the season for Davis and the 11th of his career
  • UCF only held the ball for 8:48 in the first half
  • Taj McGowan took a two-yard run for a touchdown, his eighth score of the year
  • UCF scored a two-point conversion with 2:24 left in the game, it was thefirst two-point attempt and conversion of the year

 

Defense

  • Brandon Moore snagged his second career interception and returned it 93 yards for his first career touchdown, the fourth longest interception return in program history
  • It was also the longest interception return for a touchdown in Fiesta Bowl history
  • LSU’s 10 points in the third quarter were the most UCF has given up in the third quarter all season
  • The Knights have now forced at least one turnover in all 13 games this season and the last 32 games, dating back to 2016, a streak that leads the nation

 

Special Teams

  • Matthew Wright connected on all three of his extra points, extending his program record to 154 consecutive extra points made
  • Jacob Harris recovered a muffed punt in the third quarter, his first career fumble recovery
  • Wright connected on a 37-yard field goal in the third quarter, the 55th of his career, which is a program record
  • Wright finished his career as the all-time scoring leader with 375 points
  • Mac Loudermilk punted six times for 297 yards for an average of 49.5 yards per punt
