UCF Women's Soccer Gives Back
Even though the No. 20 UCF women's soccer team is hard at work pursuing its first Conference USA Tournament title, i's not all business in El Paso. During Thursday's off day, junior goalkeeper Lianne Maldonado and freshman midfielder Allie Gerry headed to the El Paso's Children's Hospital following a training session.
The pair interacted with children, making crafts and conversation, along with players from other programs over a span of a couple hours. Conference USA put together a video segment on the day, which can be found here.
Maldonado is one of two student-athletes at UCF who represent the Knights on the C-USA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She and Gerry, along with the rest of the Knights, take on SMU in the tournament semifinals tonight at 9 ET/7 MT.
