? The contest served as UCF's first overtime game since Feb. 12, 2005 versus Jacksonville. A year ago, the team did not play an overtime game.
? The last time that UCF made at least 15 3-pointers in a game was on Feb. 28, 2005 versus Campbell when the Golden Knights hit a school-best 16 treys.
? Sophomore Jermaine Taylor came off of the bench to register a career-high 37 minutes. He also led the Golden Knights in rebounds, grabbing eight boards to match a career high.
? Junior Mike O'Donnell's seven triples were the most by a Golden Knight since Gary Johnson nailed seven in the first round of the NCAA Tournament versus Connecticut in 2005.
? Sophomore Kenrick Zondervan made his first career start and finished with a career-best five points in 28 minutes of action.
? Juniors Mike Battle, Stanley Billings and Chip Cartwright and freshman Tony Davis all made their UCF debuts. Battle missed all of last season with an injury and Billings and Cartwright are junior college transfers.
? Prior to the contest, the UCF program honored Will Bakanowsky. Bakanowsky was a senior on UCF's 2005-06 squad, but missed the entire campaign due to an injury. He decided to forgo his final year of eligibility after graduating. He was presented with a plaque from UCF head coach Kirk Speraw.
