Jeff Chapman joined the UCF men's basketball staff in June 2024 as a video coordinator and an assistant director of operations.
Chapman joins the Knights with over 10 years of experience in the collegiate game. He most recently was an assistant coach and director of operations for Texas A&M Commerce. Prior to that, Chapman was at Wichita State for five years, serving as a volunteer assistant in 2018-19 before making the jump to video coordinator until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Current UCF assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Tyson Waterman worked alongside Chapman at Wichita State, with both of their tenures spanning the same 2018-2023 range.
Chapman was at Minnetonka High School as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant for the 2017-18 season. Before that, he was at Tallahassee Community college for the 2016-17 campaign.
Chapman got his career started as soon as he entered college, attending Wichita State in the summer of 2011. He was the primary manager for film coordination while studying history and ethnic studies before graduating in 2016.
Wichita State enjoyed some of its most successful campaigns with Chapman as he was on staff for five NCAA Tournament appearances. The Shockers reached the Final Four in 2013 as well as a Sweet 16 in 2015. Wichita State also won a game each in the 2014 and 2016 tournament as well as punching a ticket to the First Four in 2021.
