Four Knights Named to CSC Academic All-District Volleyball Team

ORLANDO - Four Knights have garnered honors Tuesday Afternoon by the College Sports Communicators, as Abby Schomers, Ella Chapman, Avah Armour and Reaghan Thompson represented UCF volleyball on the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Student-athletes who combined prowess both on the court and in the classroom were honored with the recognition alongside other select players from across the nation.

For Armour, Thompson and Schomers, the award marks their first at the collegiate level, while Chapman secures her second-consecutive and first in Black and Gold. Four nominees from each school who boast a GPA of 3.50 or better, while also competing in at least 90 percent of their team’s contests, or starting in 66 percent of the matches, were given the recognition.

Armour adds yet another honor to her historic junior campaign. Two weeks removed from being tabbed the 2025 Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year and securing a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team, the Colorado native also became the 12th player in program history to be named to the AVCA Southeast All-Region First Team.

The team-leader in kills (457) and points (513), each career highs, Armour was among the top athletes in the Big 12 athletically, all while pursuing a degree in finance, achieving goals both athletically and in the classroom.

Her main supplier, Schomers, also tallied her first-career nod, putting a cap on a remarkable season as the longest tenured Knight. The redshirt junior moved into fifth all-time in career assists (2,919), leading one of the Big 12’s best and deepest offenses. The Nebraska native continues to be an exemplary student-athlete, serving on the council while maintaining a great GPA, pursuing a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

In her final collegiate season, Thompson was among the most versatile athletes in the nation, concluding her career as one of four athletes with 400-plus blocks and 950-plus kills. The Texas native picked up a minor in psychology before returning to Northwestern State to continue her degree in nursing.

One of two transfers from FGCU who joined head coach Matt Botsford, Chapman featured and started in every contest for the Knights in 2025. The junior ranked third in the Big 12 in hitting percentage (0.361), while sitting second on the team in blocks (89). Chapman is pursuing a degree in mathematics, balancing a difficult class schedule with yet another strong athlete season for the Indiana native on the court.
