GAINESVILLE, Florida - The UCF track and field team boasted strong marks throughout the final day of competition at the Tom Jones Memorial, setting up for a strong finish to the regular season.
Ese Awusa commenced action in the 100m hurdles, securing a second-place finish with her time of 13.82. Another Knight also landed among the top-10 moments later, as Coco Brance clocked an 11.64 in the 100m to place sixth.

Khristel Martindale (11.78) and Aaliyah Gipson (12.37) followed in 13th and 34th. Kendall Hughes ran a 2:14.39 in the first of two 800m's for UCF, crossing the line in 12th.
The Knights' 4x100m relay squad, consisting of Coco Branch, Jazmen Newberry, Khristel Martindale and I'Asia Wilson, ran a 44.31 in the third heat to secure a 12th-place finish
Yvone Sandui clocked a 2:10.38 in the 800m invite to place 32nd before a pair of sprint events concluded the day. Twaneise Johnson continues to impress during her first season with UCF, running the fourth-fastest time in program history (52.62) in the 400m.

I'Asia Wilson rounded out the afternoon in the 100m, running a time of 11.51 in 20th.
