The Knights (3-0) and Hatters (2-2) fought back and forth throughout the entire match with both teams recording three aces. Avah Armour set a career-high with 18 kills and two blocks. Alexia Kuehl tallied nine kills and a block. The blocking duo of Abby Schomers and Sasha Cohen each accounted for five blocks.

The first set featured 14 ties and five lead changes in the back-and-forth affair. The Knights kept it close until back-to-back kills from Heidi Bonde and Armour led to a two-point advantage for the Black and Gold. A block from Schomers and Britt Carlson followed by a kill from Armour forced a Stetson timeout, 23-21. The Knights took advantage of a couple of miscues from the Hatters to earn the 25-21 set win.

Another close set as the Knights and the Hatters kept it close until a 10-10 deadlock when the Black and Gold went on a 5-0 scoring spurt, 15-10. Stetson chipped away at the Knights’ lead but could not trade spots as the Knights ended the set on an ace from Katelyn Grimes followed by a kill from Bonde, 25-23.

Kuehl kicked off the third set with a kill, just like sets one and two the Hatters and Knights kept it interesting with 15 ties and eight lead changes. A kill from Armour late in the set led to a 3-0 run to give the Knights some cushion, 20-17. Stetson fought back to knot the set at 25. An attacking error from the Hatters followed by a kill from Kuehl led the Knights to victory and their second sweep of the season, 27-25
