UCF Adds FGCU Transfer Lauren Clark

ORLANDO- The UCF volleyball team added another member to the 2023 roster as the team announced the addition of transfer Lauren Clark on Friday.

Clark, who is a six-foot outside hitter from Champlin, Minnesota, comes to UCF from Florida Gulf Coast, where she spent the last two seasons after two seasons at Penn State.

"Lauren is the type of multi-skilled, multi-tool player that we need as we solidify our system work heading into the Big 12," said UCF head coach Todd Dagenais. "She has played volleyball at the absolute highest levels in the NCAA. We look for her to contribute in the locker room, in the community, and on the volleyball court as soon as she arrives."

In 2022, Clark was tabbed to the Atlantic Sun all-conference third team after tallying 257 kills this season and 42 blocks. She was named to the Homewood Suites FGCU Invitational All-Tournament team after posting 31 kills (.429%) and 11 blocks assists.

Clark tallied 85 kills, 17 digs and 10 blocks during the 2021 season with the Eagles. She recorded an attacking percentage of .266 for the year with four service aces.

In her freshman and sophomore seasons at Penn State, she totaled 49 kills, 18 digs, six aces and 14 blocks.

"I chose UCF because I felt very welcomed and appreciated by the coaching staff," said Clark. "Additionally, UCF is a great academic institution located in a thriving area and only one hour from my family, so they will be able to support me. I also have a good friend, Kari Zumach, that spent her last year at UCF and had great things to say. I can't wait to get to Orlando."

Clark is the fourth new addition to the team, joining incoming freshman Avah Armour (OH/Manitou Springs, Colorado), Sasha Cohen (MB/Lakewood, Colorado) and Annika Sokol (S/Roxborough Park, Colorado).
