Knights in the Pros Update: September 20th

ORLANDO – In week two of the NFL season, Former UCF wide receiver Breshad Perriman caught a key touchdown pass in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers win against the New Orleans Saints. In a game where the Bucs were missing their top three wide receivers, Perriman caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady, which gave them the 10-3 lead. The Bucs would go on to win 20-10.

 


Perriman, who is in his second Stint with Tampa Bay, said that he was stepping up and taking advantage of an opportunity presented to him.

 


In Detroit, Mike Hughes recorded 8 tackles for the Lions in a win vs the Commanders. Hughes is off to a good start with the Lions, as he's recorded 11 tackles through two weeks.

Falcons safety Richie Grant recorded 6 tackles against the Rams. On the other side of the ball, the Rams elevated tight end Jacob Harris from the practice squad. Harris recorded 13 snaps in total, with 12 on special teams.

Shaquill Griffin and the Jaguars had an elite defensive performance Sunday, shutting out the Colts 24-0. Griffin recorded 4 tackles, and had a solid 77.7 Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade.

Gabriel Davis, the emerging star receiver for the Bills, was a late scratch Monday. He is reported to have an ankle injury.
