GAINESVILLE – The UCF track and field team opened the Tom Jones Memorial with four top 10 performances on Friday.
Brittany Floyd started the day with a sixth place finish in the open long jump at 19-1.5/5.83m. Jasmine Scott-Kilgo finished 10th in the long jump invitational with a mark of 19-5.25/5.92m.
Both Knights finished in the top 20 of the discus as Adrienne Adams finished eighth with a mark of 170-2/51.88m. Nicole Whitaker used a personal best 154-4/47.05m to finish 18th.
Valerie Lastra turned in a top 10 finish in the 1500-meter run at 4:28.52. Brenna Mullaney ran a personal best 4:48.53 to join her in the top 25.
I'Asia Wilson ran a personal best 23.78 to join Beyonce Defreitas (23.63) in the top 30 of the 200-meter dash.
UCF continues action at the Tom Jones Memorial on Saturday, beginning with the hammer throw at 10 a.m.
