ORLANDO – A program-record 14 members of the UCF rowing team were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) scholar-athletes for the 2021 season.

A pair of Knights, Mia Cleary and Julie Poulsen, closed out their UCF careers with their fourth-straight scholar-athlete distinction. Luci Derrick, Rusne Dziugyte and Maria Yim were tabbed for the third straight year, while Georgia Coyne, Abbie Pritchard and Amy Van Ryn earned their second straight distinction.

Lauryn Bench, Annberlee Hothem, Aryann Johnson, Emily Klysen, Emily Puia and Lauren Roman were all first-time honorees as Knights.

The 14 scholar-athletes topped the previous program best of 12 honorees in 2019 and marked three-consecutive years with double-digit Knights earning scholar-athlete accolades.

To be eligible for CRCA scholar-athlete accolades, each rower must be in at least her second year of eligibility and hold a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher through the fall semester for the 2020-21 season.
