Macon, Ga. – Through two rounds of the first day at the Brickyard Invitational, the UCF women's golf team leads the field with a two-round team score of 593 (+17). The Brickyard Invitational is being played at the Brickyard Golf Club, a 6,218-yard par 72 course.
"The team fought really hard the entire day today," said head coach Emily Marron after the first two rounds. "The course played tough and they stayed focused until the end. We are pleased to be in the position we are in through two rounds, and will look for a strong finish tomorrow."
Freshman Camille Banzet led the way for the Knights, carding a 73 (+1) in the first 18 holes and a 71 (-1) in the second to sit T2 after the first day. Alyssa Lamoureux also turned in a 73 (+1) in the first round and 74 (+2) in the second to finish the day in sixth.
Tunrada Piddon finished the day with a pair of 76 (+4) rounds and is T13 for the Knights, with Ana Laura Collado two strokes behind for a two-round score of 153 (+9). Rounding out the team score for UCF, Jess Baker turned in a 157 (+13)
As an individual, Chinatsu Kobayashi finished the two rounds carding 73 (+1) and 75 (+3) to finish T7 with a 148 (+4) after two rounds.

NEXT UP
UCF will return to the Brickyard Golf Club on Tuesday to play the final 18 holes of the tournament, before returning home to prepare for the American Athletic Conference Championship, which tees off on April 18 at Pinehurst #6.
