ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Another week into the summer league season, UCF baseball players have conitnued to represent the Black and Gold across the country. Take a look at how the Knights have performed over the last week. 
 
After sitting out for the first couple of weeks, Ray Alejo was activated in the Cape Cod League for the Brewster Whitecaps. The rising redshirt junior played in three games over the weekend, hitting .273 with a double, a triple and an RBI.
 
Dallas Beaver has found his rhythm at the plate for the Lakeshore Chinooks in the Northwoods League. The Kissimmee, Fla., native has a .268 clip at the dish with four RBI and four doubles. Beaver hit .350 (7-for-20) over the last week. Fellow Chinooks teammate Luis Ferrer made a pair of appearances, including his longest outing of the year, a 2 2/3 performance with five punchouts without allowing a run against Battle Creek on June 23.
 
Brandon Hernandez wrapped up his second week with the Staunton Braves in the Valley Baseball League with a 2-for-3 outing with an RBI. The shortstop has a .321 clip at the plate and a .387 on-base percentage through nine games.
 
Dalton Wingo notched a pair of multi-hit performances for the Waynesboro Generals last week. The native of Plant City, Fla., sits 10th in the Valley League in slugging percentage. Wingo has a .349 batting average with five RBI and four extra-base hits.
 
Jeffrey Hakanson has been one of the top relief pitchers in the new Expedition League with a 1.12 ERA over eight innings of work and 19 strikeouts. He has notched four saves for the Western Nebraska Pioneers to sit second in the league. The righty fanned five batters during his two innings of action against Pierre on June 18, before striking out all three batters he faced on June 23 against Hastings.
 
Griffin Bernardo has been one of the top hitters in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League for the Cincinnati Steam. The rising sophomore is hitting .391 with an on-base percentage of .508. Bernardo picked up nine hits over the last week with three RBI. Fellow Steam teammate Jaylyn Whitehead picked up his first win of the season against the Hamilton Joes last Tuesday. The lefty scattered five hits and dealt one strikeout in five innings of action.
 
NORTHWOODS LEAGUE
• Brody Wofford (Wisconsin Rapids Rafters) - Kept his batting average above .300 at .315. The rising senior has plated four runs this summer and notched six multi-hit games over 15 outings.
 
FLORIDA LEAGUE
• Anthony George (Seminole County Scorpions) – Played in three games in the last week due to weather postponements.
• Adams Torres (Winter Garden Squeeze) – Only had two games over the last week due to weather. Hitting .293 on the year with two doubles, two homers and five RBI.
 
VALLEY BASEBALL LEAGUE
• Chandler Robertson (Staunton Braves) – Played in three games in a rain-shortened week. Batting .273 with four RBI.
 
EXPEDITION LEAGUE
• Jack Sinclair (Western Nebraska Pioneers) – Went 4 2/3 innings against Hastings, striking out five with two runs and three hits against. Has a 4.26 ERA and a 1-0 record in three starts this season.
 
WEST COAST LEAGUE
• Garrett Westberg (Port Angeles Lefties) – Picked up first win of the season with a six-inning outing and six strikeouts against Wenatchee on June 23. Has a 3.37 ERA and 15 punchouts over 16 innings.
