ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Roughly a month into the Major League Baseball season, five former UCF baseball players are continue to represent the Black and Gold in The Show. The Knights also have several players scattered throughout the minor leagues at the start of the 2018 season.

Danny Winkler has been solid for the Atlanta Braves out of the bullpen. The righty has appeared in 11 games this season with an ERA of 1.59, allowing just two earned runs against the Chicago White Sox on April 14. Prior to that outing, Winkler did not allow a run in his first 8 1/3 innings of action.

After starting the year with Tacoma in Triple-A, Chase Bradford has made the most of his call-up to his new organization, the Seattle Mariners. Bradford has thrown 9 2/3 innings this year with five strikeouts and an ERA of 1.86. The righty picked up a pair of wins this year against Oakland on April 14 and at Texas on April 21.
Down in Triple-A, Beau Taylor has been a main feature for the Nashville Sounds. The 2011 draft pick out of UCF is hitting .333 with an on-base percentage of .517. Taylor has been a consistent bat in the middle of the order for the Sounds, reaching safely in all five starts this season.
Dylan Moore has started off strong for the Biloxi Shuckers in Double-A. The shortstop has a .304 clip at the plate with nine RBI through 14 games. Moore ranks among the top-15 in the Southern League with a slugging percentage of .500, which includes a pair of doubles, a pair of triples and one home run.
Jason Bahr climbed up to the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets to start the 2018 campaign. The righty has an 0.96 ERA through 18 2/3 innings of work with 24 strikeouts. He is 1-1 through four starts and opponents are hitting just .188 off the righty.
