Solid Saturday Showing

LINCOLN, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team continued its strong showing at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Saturday.

Rosie Chamberlain captured the title in the 800-meter run with a winning time of 2:10.05.

For the second straight day, a sprinting duo turned in season-best marks to capture a pair of top five finishes. Alissa Williams improved her mark from preliminaries to take third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.42. Williams added a second third place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.21.

Shaniya Williams used a pair of personal bests to earn fourth place in both the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes. Williams crossed the line in 7.45 and 24.33 for her events, respectively.

In the high jump, Natosha Jordan tied her career-best mark, clearing 5-5 to finish eighth.

UCF returns to action on Feb. 9, heading to Nashville for the two-day Music City Challenge.
