General

  • UCF captains: Jordan Akins, Shaquem Griffin, Aaron Evans, Jamiyus Pittman, Tyler Hudanick
  • Coin Toss: Temple won toss, elected to receive. UCF will defend south end zone.
  • Scott Frost remains undefeated as a father.
  • With the victory, UCF sets a school record for consecutive victories at 10.


Offense

  • McKenzie Milton's 4-yard first-quarter touchdown run was his fifth rushing touchdown of the season.
  • Dredrick Snelson's second-quarter touchdown run was his first of the season.
  • With Snelson's rushing TD, 10 different Knights have scored on the ground this season, tying UCF for the national lead in that category (Arizona).
  • Otis Anderson's second-quarter touchdown reception was the first of his career.
  • McKenzie Milton's third-quarter touchdown pass to Tre'Quan Smith was the 35th of his career, moving Milton into 8th on UCF's career TD passing chart. He added another later in the game to move his total to 36.
  • Smith's TD catch was the 20th of his career. He moves into a tie for 6th (Doug Gabriel) on the UCF career TD receptions chart. It was also his 11th of the season, putting him in a tie for 6th on the single-season TD receptions chart (David Rhodes, Gabriel, Brandon Marshall).


Defense

  • UCF set a season-high with five takeaways against Temple, four interceptions and one fumble recovery.
  • Pat Jasinski's second-quarter interception was the first of his career.
  • Shaquem Griffin forced a second-quarter fumble, which was recovered by Titus Davis.
  • The Griffini forced fumble was also a tackle for-loss. Griffin leads the team with 7.5 TFLs.
  • Kyle Gibson's second-quarter interception was his fourth of the season, which is tops on the team.
  • Griffin recorded his second career interception in the third quarter.
  • The Knights now have 25 takeaways in 10 games this season.
  • Joey Connors' third-quarter sack was his first of the season and the second of his career.

Special Teams

  • Matthew Wright was 6-for-6 on PAT attempts. He now has 117 for his career, moving him into No. 4 on the career PATs chart at UCF.
  • Wright's 44-yard field goal in the second quarter was his third made field goal of 40+ yards this season.
  • Mac Loudermilk tallied a 62-yard punt in the third quarter. It was the second week in a row with a punt of more than 60 yards.
  • Loudermilk's dropped five punts inside the Temple 20-yard line.
