ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The American Athletic Conference champion will be determined on Friday night as No. 7 UCF Women's Soccer hosts USF.
 
Slated for a 7 p.m. kick at the UCF Soccer Complex, the Knights welcome the Bulls for the regular season finale.
 
UCF enters the match with 22 points to lead the league. USF follows closely behind with 21 points. The winner of the contest will clinch the regular season conference title and the right to host the conference tournament Nov. 1-5.
 
*Parking information: Due to a concert in CFE Arena, free parking for women's soccer will only be available in the baseball lot and in lot E6. Garage F and Garage D will be paid parking.*
 
The first 100 students though the gate will receive a free t-shirt at the game.
 
Last Time Out

  • The Knights extended their unbeaten streak to 13 matches and won their eighth game in a row with a 4-1 victory over Temple on Sunday.
  • UCF used a pair of first half goals from Bridget Callahan and Carrie Lawrence, followed by a second half brace from Kayla Adamek to top the Owls.
  • Callahan and Lawrence were recognized by the American Athletic Conference .
  • The Knights snapped UConn's four-game win streak over UCF with the 2-0 win on Thursday.

 
Senior Knight

  • The Knights will recognize their 10-member senior class prior to the 7 p.m. kick.
  • Senior festivities will begin around 6:40 p.m.
  • Rebecca Harb, Christine Creighton, Bridget Callahan, Julia Moore, Kayla Adamek, Morgan Ferrara, Saga Fredriksson, Jen Vera, Hannah DeBose and Kathellen Sousa will be recognized prior to the match.

The Series

  • UCF and USF meet for the 15th time on the pitch. The Knights lead the all-time series 10-2-2.
  • Six points in the War on I4 rivalry series are on the line in Friday's contest. USF currently has a 6-0 lead after a 3-2 double overtime victory on Sept. 23. 
  • The last five meetings include a pair of UCF victories (2014, 2015), one USF victory (2015 American Athletic Conference semifinal) and a pair of ties (2013 American Athletic Conference semifinal, 2016).

 
Scouting the Bulls

  • USF enters the contest with an 11-3 overall record, with a 7-1 mark in league play.
  • The Bulls were among the teams receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 on Tuesday.
  • USF's only conference loss came in a 1-0 decision at Cincinnati on Sept. 24.
  • Evelyne Viens paces the USF offense with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points.
  • Kat Elliott has seen a majority of the minutes in goal, compiling a 1.37 goals against average with 58 saves.
