ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After going up 3-1, the UCF men's tennis team fell to No. 48 Tulsa, 4-3, in a battle on Friday evening at the USTA National Campus.
The Knights took the doubles point away from the Golden Hurricane with victories on court two and court three. On court two, Korey Lovett and Danny Kerznerman paired together for a 6-4 victory over the No. 43-ranked pairing of Majed Kilani and Or Ram-Harel. Chris Barrus and Enrique Paya teamed up to clinch the point with a 7-5 win against Jarod Hing and Daniel Santos on the third court.
In singles, Barrus added another point for UCF's total with a quick 6-4, 6-4 victory against Hing on the third court. A 6-1, 6-1 Kerznerman win, put the Knights up 3-1 and was the last point UCF would earn.
The Knights return to the USTA National Campus on Sunday at 1 p.m., to take on No. 29 South Alabama.
