Battling Back

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After an 8-0 five-inning setback to Ohio State, UCF bounced back by batting around and scoring 10 runs in the sixth inning to notch an 11-3 walk-off victory over Delaware State on Friday.

Senior left fielder Linnea Goodman posted a 3-for-5 performance in the two games, which included an RBI triple to tie the game, 1-1, in the third inning vs. Delaware State. Two RBI each were driven in by junior second baseman Courtney Rotton, sophomore catcher Cassady Brewer and freshman designated player Kyra Klarkowski.

The victory in the circle for the Knights (11-8) was notched by freshman Kamryn Toney (2-1), who tossed 2.2 innings and tallied two strikeouts. Freshman Damara Begin made her debut against Ohio State (8-6) and earned her first start vs. Delaware State (1-12).
