CLEMSON, S.C. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team closed out the weekend with a pair of wins and eight top 10 finishes on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational at Clemson University.
Redshirt senior Anne-Marie Blaney earned her second win of the weekend, crossing the line first in the 3000-meter run. She finished in 9:22.30.
Junior Rosie Chamberlain won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.70. She was joined by teammate Marissa Codispodi, who finished 10th with a mark of 2:15.73.
Senior J'Nea Bellamy turned in a third place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.97. Redshirt sophomore Jhane' Carter collected third in the shot put with a distance of 46-3.5/14.11m.
Freshman Natosha Jordan continues to improve in the high jump, clearing a career-best 5-5/1.65m for a fifth-place finish. Sophomore Briana Potter earned seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 38-6/11.73m.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Rosie Chamberlain, Shiree Hinds, Crystal Tejeda and Venida Fagan finished seventh with a time of 3:49.99.
The Knights take a week off from competition and return to action in Boston on Feb. 10.
