ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team returns to action this weekend as the Knights head to Lexington, Ky., for the 2017 McCravy Memorial Meet.
The two-day meet will take place inside Nutter Field House on the University of Kentucky campus.
The Knights return to action after opening the indoor season at the UAB Blazer Invite last weekend. Senior Chelsea Gobourne turned in a career performance to finish second in the weight throw and earn the American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. The Black and Gold had a solid opening weekend, garnering 11 top-five finishes inside the Birmingham Crossplex.
UCF will face tough competition on the weekend. Seven ranked teams, including four that land in the top 10, make up the field. The Knights join No. 4 USC, No. 5 Texas, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Purdue, No. 13 Baylor, No. 14 Miami, No. 21 Ole Miss, Clemson, Harvard, Illinois, Kansas, Penn State and host Kentucky.
