ATHENS, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF men's tennis closed out Day Two at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships Saturday night with a win in doubles action by Reece Acree and Arjune Watane.
Acree and Watane paired up to defeat Arkansas' Branch Terrell and Jacob Herndon 6-4 in the Round of 32 of the Division II doubles. The UCF duo will play Sunday morning in the Round of 16 against Tennessee Tech's Marcos Bernardes and Guille Nicolas.
In the singles consolation brackets, Harrison Richmond had a comeback victory over Alex Dominguez 4-6, 6-2, 10-1 in Division I, while Mariano Porter grabbed a 6-3, 6-3 win over Luca Cerin in Division II.
The Knights return to action Sunday with the quarterfinals and semifinals of singles action and the Round of 16 in doubles.
