Boyd Joins Knights

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The nation's top men's tennis recruit from one year ago has transferred to UCF.

Kalman Boyd, who hails from Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., comes to the Knights after one year at the University of Southern California. Boyd was 7-4 in singles matches for the Trojans last season.

"We are extremely excited to have Kalman as a part of our team," UCF Director of Tennis John Roddick said. "He was the No. 1 recruit in the country by the end of his senior year and his level of tennis speaks for itself. He is going to have a tremendous experience here at UCF and we are looking forward to great things from him."

A 2015 graduate of Fusion Academy, Boyd was ranked No. 4 in the nation, No. 80 in the world and No. 1 in southern California as a prep student-athlete. At Fusion Academy, he was named the 18-under Player of the Year and was also named Most Improved at both the 18-under and 16-under levels.
